Believe it or not, coming to the beach to relax is not everyone’s idea of a good time. You don’t have to have HDD to get restless and bored at the beach. It can happen to any of us! Some people just want to stay busy and need a constant stream of activities available to them. We can help with that. We have the solution for boredom and restlessness! If there’s one thing you can count on, it’s that if you follow these suggestions you’re sure to be having a good time!
 
30th Annual Taste of the Town in Myrtle Beach SC
 
Going on right now is the 30th Annual Taste of the Town. A popular culinary event that provides samples of a variety of food, wine, and desserts from its many competitors. Takes place from 4-10 p.m. on October 21 at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Nearly 50 restaurants compete for Best Entree, Best Dessert, People’s Choice and several other accolades during the event. Attendees can buy $6 admission tickets at the door. Children 14 and under are admitted free. Tasting tickets ($1) are purchased at the event and are good for samples from participating restaurants as well as in the beer and wine garden. Convention Center parking is $3 per car. Alternate parking is available at the site of the former Myrtle Square Mall, across from the Myrtle Beach Convention Center (adjacent to Oak Street).
 
Endless Summer Festival in North Myrtle Beach
 
The annual Endless Summer Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 25 at Main Street in North Myrtle Beach. Free concerts will begin at noon and feature The Sea Cruz Band, The Marsha Morgan Band, and Gary Lowder & Smokin’ Hot. Bring a beach chair or a blanket and definitely bring your dancing shoes! There will be arts and crafts vendors, plenty of great food and fun activities for the kids. Sponsored by the City of North Myrtle Beach.
 
Conway Ghost Walk: Spirits of the Lowcountry
 
Every year one of the most popular Halloween events in the area is the Conway Ghost Walk: Spirits of the Lowcountry. This storytelling festival revolves around around the historic town of Conway and is enjoyed by kids and adults alike. Storytellers share spooky tales about the town and take you on a 60-minute tour around Conway. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for children 12 and under. Reservations are recommended or tickets can be purchased at the Conway Visitor Center. Tours starts at the box office every 10 minutes.
 
Family Fun with Tricks and Treats
 
Grand Strand Kids’ Directory invites everyone out to the Myrtle Beach Convention Center for a day of Family Fun with Tricks and Treats from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 25. Dress up your little ones for a fun, safe trick-or-treating experience. Stick around for the inflatables, a costume contest, balloon art, face painting, arts and crafts and more. Local vendors will be on hand to show off their information and your family can take home goody bags. Admission is free to all!
