Pawleys Island

Pawleys Island has been a vacationer's paradise for over 300 years. This quiet beach town located between Myrtle Beach and Georgetown provides a laid back and carefree lifestyle you won't find in many others areas along the Grand Strand. The long sandy beaches and beatiful marsh-lined creeks extend on either side of Pawleys Island, captivating those who experience it and keeping them coming back to visit year after year.

Visitors love all that the area has to offer but also all that it doesn't. While providing no shortage of fantastic shopping, dining, golf, and attractions, Pawleys Island allows residents and visitors to avoid the hustle and bustle typically found in southern beach towns, especially those just north such as Surfside, Garden City, and Myrtle Beach.

Pawleys Island truly offers the best of life at the beach. From relaxing in the sand to swimming in the ocean to spending the evenings rocking on your screened porch and listening to the sounds of the waves, the experience here on Pawleys Island is one you certainly won't forget.

There are a handful of exciting events on the Pawleys Island each year. The island's most anticipated event is the the annual 4th of July Parade. This is certainly an event you won't want to miss. Patriotic floats make way throught town before being judged by the judging commitee. From there, head out to the beach to experience the Salute from the Shore military flyover that happens over the shore each year to honor our nation's troops. Other popular annual events include the Pawleys Pavilion Reunion that happens each year in May and the Guy Osborne Memorial 5K and 8K that occurs each year in November.
