Vacationing With Kids in Myrtle Beach

Family vacations to the beach are a wonderful way to create cherished memories that will last for a lifetime! But traveling and vacationing with children can be stressful and overwhelming if you’re not prepared. Follow our tips on how to successfully vacation with kids in order to ensure that your family vacation is successful and fun for everyone!

Plan for Kid-Friendly Activities

Surfside Beach and Myrtle Beach are both extremely family-friendly, so there are a number of kid friendly attractions and activities that are sure to please everyone in the family, young and old! Some great ideas: riding the Skywheel, zip line, or Broadway Grand Prix adventure.

Do Your Research for Kid-Friendly Restaurants

The Grand Strand has no shortage of great restaurants, but not all of them are kid-friendly. Before you set off on your vacation, do some research on a few restaurants you’re interested in trying. Have your kids look at the menus beforehand so you know that they’ll find something on the menu they’d like to eat (to avoid any meltdowns in the restaurant later).

Prepare a Rainy-Day Survival Plan, Just in Case

While we all hope for the perfect, sunny vacation when we head to the beach, sometimes Mother Nature has other ideas. Put together a list of indoor activities—like museums, movie theaters, or other kid-friendly places—as possible activities for when you’d otherwise be stuck inside because of the rain. Also plan to bring some board games, coloring books and crayons, and DVDs to help pass the time at your vacation home for a cheap rainy day activity.
