How can you keep your home feeling beachy yet autumnal at the same time? Take a read at our top suggestions to seamlessly transform your summer decor into a fall haven.

Pumpkins: From Pottery Barn to Walmart, there’s a wide selection of faux pumpkins to choose from. You can search for white and blue ones, or, you can make a craft day of it and get your children, grandchildren, or nieces/nephews in the creative spirit by painting a pumpkin with cool blue tones. Feel free to keep it simple, or add white polka dots, garnish with a tweed style string, or add glitter. Then, sprinkle them throughout bedrooms and other significant rooms in the house.

Throws and pillows: If you haven’t already, check out your local Home Goods store for rustic orange colored blankets, brown pillows, and so on. Keep in mind you don’t have to spend a lot on seasonal decor! Mainly, you’re just looking for a few attention-grabbing pieces that will set the “fall tone” for the room.

Flowers: Now is the perfect time to swap out your summer roses for fresh cut sunflowers and mums. You can adorn the dining table with bright sunflowers and embellish the front steps with burgundy and yellow mums. Perhaps add a small vase of flowers to the bathroom to spruce it up and add a pop of fall color.

Fireplace: If you have a fireplace or even a mantelpiece over a faux fireplace, take this opportunity to decorate it to the nines. A rustic lantern, faux leaves, and a flower vase will all make a great addition here. Don’t be afraid to fish out pictures of your child frolicking in the leaves when they were younger either! The more nostalgic fall vibes the better.

Entryway: Spice up a lengthy table with a red-wine colored table runner, a rustic vase of flowers, or a set of candlesticks on either end of the table. If your foyer doesn’t have a long table, consider moving a small end table from the spare bedroom to the entryway and topping it with a vase of fresh flowers. With a cute table cover on top, your guests will hardly know the difference.
