South Carolina Vacation

So you’ve been planning a South Carolina Vacation to go deep sea salt water fishing? That’s fabulous news! The Atlantic Ocean and the waters off South Carolina provide the ideal spot for the fisherman's dream vacation. There are so many fishing options around the Myrtle Beach area from shore and pier fishing to off-shore and inlet chartered fishing.

South Carolina VacationFishing boats are abundant in and around Myrtle Beach. Many boats are owned and operated by full time commercial fishermen that fish throughout the year and sell their wares to local restaurants and food chains. These fishermen know the best spots to fish. These privately owned vessels set out from port each day, some before the sun comes up, for off shore fishing. If the goal is to stay closer to the shore, then there are fishing boats that skirt the coast and stay in the inlets for shallow water fishing.

Regardless of the type of fishing you want to do on your South Carolina Vacation, we have it here. There are a few different types of fishing boat options. If you don’t have all day to devote to fishing, there are half day trips that run around four hours long. But if you have more time available or are planning a South Carolina Vacation just for the fishing, then a full day trip is a great option. There are party boats that take out large groups and there are private charters that take up to five or six people out at once. There are also night charters available. All fishing boats book up quickly, so be sure to book in advance for the ultimate fishing experience while on your South Carolina Vacation.

South Carolina VacationSo let’s say you don’t like being on the water in a boat. If you want to keep your feet firmly planted on the ground but still want to fish for the big ones, you can also fish from the pier. Pier fishing is a great experience. Most of the piers charge a fee for the day and even offer rod and reel rental for those casual angler that didn't think to pack their fishing equipment for the trip. Fishing off one of the piers in the Myrtle Beach area is a great way to spend the day and other family members that are not interested in fishing can either grab a beach chair or sit up on the pier or right below on the shore for a day in the sun and sand.

Spending a day fishing while on a South Carolina Vacation is an inexpensive way to relax and have fun. Going home with a fish story is just priceless.
